Malaika Brengman

Malaika Brengman (PhD UGent) is associate professor at the Faculty of Economic and Social Sciences and Solvay Business School of the Vrije Universiteit Brussel, Department Business - Marketing & Consumer Behavior. She teaches courses in Marketing, Market Research and Consumer Behavior.

Her research focusses on retail marketing & shopper motivations & behavior (online as well as offline), the store of the future & new technologies, retail atmospherics (impact of color, light, scent,…) and marketing communications effectiveness (ao. social media). She has presented her work at international conferences and has published in well respected journals (ao. Journal of Retailing and Consumer Services, Journal of Electronic Commerce Research, Journal of Business Research, Advances in Consumer Research, Psychology and Marketing).
